Why I blog
3 reasons:
- To enjoy my passion for writing
- To exercise my ability to articulate ideas
- To employ my spiritual gift of teaching
Purpose of the blog
Taste and See that the Lord is good (Ps 34:8, 1 Pe 2:3).
That one verse headlines all that I wish to communicate in this blog. What happens when we taste and see that the Lord is good? Sin can be overcome with the superior satisfaction found in the Lord. All else is loss in order to know Jesus Christ. Our heart longs for the pure milk of the Word of God. The goodness of God is exalted above everything else. Worship pours from our hearts as we stand in complete awe of God as a lifestyle. Missions becomes our life as we seek to spread His name through all the earth and bring the nations to taste and see that the Lord is good.
My heart’s desire is that this blog will be able to bring us to taste and see that the Lord is good. Tasting is heart changing and life transforming. I pray over this blog regularly, and every now and then when someone shares a story of how God has used something on this site in their life, it serves as encouragement to continue.
What I want you to gain
Over 175,000 other blogs were created today alone. If you invest 10 minutes in mine, that is a precious gift. And there are two things I want you to find on this blog that make the investment profitable for you: practical application and presuppositional apologetics. The first is a defined pursuit for me, the second is developing one. (I also enjoy alliteration for my points, but I am not sure that profits you as much as it amuses me). If you can leave this site with a practical way to apply Scripture that leads you to greater communion with God, or a better understanding of the basis and defense for our faith that allows you to engage our world, I am fulfilling my ministry.
Your are special & I appreciate your communications/work/spirit/love.
